Wednesday Feburary 18th

Good evening to all. Today was pretty uneventful except for the fact that we had a wonderful nurse all day and several unexpected visits from dear friends. Some of the swelling is starting to subside and we are excited about the possibility of seeing Clay's blue eyes eventually. We make every scheduled visit throughout the day and read him stories or just let him know what a big boy he is. He is bandaged from head to waist and is really a tough sight but we would love to be able to lift him out of that bed and give him a big hug. His feet are in perfect shape so they get the most attention. I hope he enjoys his foot rubs because that is our only option right now. We appreciate all of the help and thoughtfulness of everyone we have seen or heard from. Please keep Clay in your thoughts and prayers he still needs all the help he can get. Mom and Grandma went home tonight to see Carson and Cody. Deidra has not had an opportunity to visit or hug the boys and Cody was a little under the weather. She will be back in the morning when she get them to school and all pointed the right direction. -Chance-

    Hi Chance, Meeting was good last night. SO good to see DD and the boys!!! Thankful to hear good news about precious Clay! Praying it continues and for comfort/strength for you, DD and Carson and Cody. (love those boys!!)

    Chance & DeeDee - good to know Clay had a good day. I'm glad DeeDee went home to see Cody & Carson; I know the boys were glad to have her for the night. I look forward to your updates. I've always felt it was easier to pray for a situation if I could see it (maybe not physically, but in some sense). We continue to lift your family up to God in prayer. Pam & Dawn

    I just wanted to let you know that we are praying for all of you. I was a grade ahead of Chance in school. We have been praying since Sunday morning when we learned of the accident from Casey at church. Just wanted to let you know that ya'll are in our thoughts and prayers. I live in Graham, so if there is anything I can do or if you need volunteers for anything, please let me know.     We're glad yesterday went well. It tugs at our hearts to think of how much you both want to just pick Clay up and hold him but can't. He's getting a lot of love through those foot rubs though!We're already thinking about tomorrow and hoping it will go as smooth as the first surgery did.
