Clay's heart rate is fluctuating and we are not sure what is causing this. Chance is staying the night at the hospital and I'm at Ronald McDonald House with Carson & Cody. I'm on my way to put them to bed. Trusting & Praying always!

Always in the past when things didn't look good for me at all, I always just turned it all over to God and prayed for his will to be done. God has brought me through so many many times. It is entirely possible to be in pretty bad shape one minute and doing totally okay the next. I know that God is going to make this okay for all of you. I really believe that Clay is going to be okay. I believe that there may be so many nights that you don't know whether or not he will be okay, but on those times you just turn it all over to God. I know you both do that. He has the power to fix anything. God bless you and keep you all.

I am one of the friends in El Paso, TX and I read your blog every day, many times through my tears. My son was very ill with cancer about 16 years ago, so I understand a little bit of the heartache you are feeling as you see your child suffer. Many prayers are going up on your behalf! We are glad our Father hears us and He not only hears our cry, but He hears even the faintest sigh - "He who hath heard thy cry, Will never close His ear; He who hath marked thy faintest sigh Will not forget they tear." I am Susie Block's mom...........my heart aches with you and for you. my years of working in the burn unit help me to understand some of the picture. We were reminded today that when Stephen was stoned, he lifted up his eyes and say Jesus standing and looking down on him. He is doing the same for you. we love you, Susie's parents, Raymond and Linda
From California: My mother's heart is so heavy tonight. No hymn or verse came to my mind but I searched to find some encouraging words. II Cor. 13:14 was a comfort: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all."
The hymn I came across that was a comfort was 265: "Help me to cling to Thee in every test, Finding the grace to say, 'Thy will is best.' This still the choice for me, This still the way must be, Only to follow Thee, Jesus my Lord."

Watching and praying from a distance. But glad there is no east or west, north or south to God. I'm feeling for you as you have to face this setback. But setbacks are common for Clay's type for injury, so hopefully tomorrow will start better for him...for all of the family.
