Sunday, March 22

Hello to all. Today was quite a restful day for Clay. During the first visit, Clay had some sunglasses on. He had them on yesterday for most of the morning. He did not want them removed. The nurse told us that some of the kids like to hide behind their sunglasses. The X-ray showed that Clay's lungs are better. He was moved to his wagon for a few hours today. He was happy to be placed back in bed on top of his special air mattress. He also ate a little bit of jello at lunch. His next surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. We are not exactly sure what procedure the doctors will perform during this surgery. We will find out more tomorrow. We hope you all had a restful Sunday.
We heard some special thoughts during our church meeting today.
* Faith is a positive thinker. It can take a negative experience and make it positive.
* We can be a thermometer or a thermostat; we can either give a reading of our environment or we can set the temperature.
* During the storm, the leaves have to cling to the branch. If they are blown off, they will not be a part of the tree.
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

  1. Thoughts from NE are still in Texas with you all..every day. Visited with some of the friends today at a special meeting in Kansas, that are also following Clay's progress via this blog. We don't know you, they don't either, but it's a wonderful fellowship that unites us, isn't it? Take care. Thumbs up to Clay!!

  3. My family heard about your son's accident and our heart goes out to you and your family. We had a Memorial Barrel Race and Roping for my dad Steve Rater, who passed away 2yrs ago. We also wanted to include your family and have a benefit to help you through this tragedy. My dad loved kids and I know he is smiling down from heaven. We raised $4,470...the donations came from the loving and caring people of Archer City and many surrounding counties. We all have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless Kristen Morrison

I just wanted you to know that my Life Group prays for all of you daily. Clay is very blessed to have such wonderful parents and brothers! Stay strong and remember there are so many people that are lifting all of you in prayer.

  10. Am thrilled to hear that his lungs are better and that you've been ministered to with words of hope. Christ is the Master at taking what the devil meant for evil and transforming it into something amazing! Clay will forever be a testimony of that scriptural truth. Praying for you all . . . especially for little Clay. (We have a grandson his age.)

  14. I saw a prayer request for Clay on the prayer list of my church family, North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. You are in my prayers and what an inspiration and an example of walking in faith your family is. I am praying that God will cover you tomorrow during Clay's surgery and that God will be the surgeon's hands and His presence will be felt surrounding Clay, the operating room and those loved ones in the waiting room. 16. Good evening once again form our little farm in Kansas. Goodness it was windy here today. They said 50 miles per hour. Got alittle rain this evening with some good old hail. No damage. Hoping all goes well there tonight. I can just picture those sunglasses Clay. How are the other little fellows? In school I suppose. Just wanted to give you all our love before bed. Your friends Stan and Helen Chipperfield.

  17. Hello, from Happy, TX. Roy and Arlene Bryan send greetings and prayers and blessings to Clay and all his family and friends. All is well here and the snow we got Friday is just about all gone...most of it landed in the bar ditches and fence rows so the weeds will be really "pretty" there.
Clay we are praying for you, roy and arlene
