Wednesday, March 25

Good evening to all. Clay has not felt very good today because he has a stomach bug. They are treating this with a different antibiotic. The occupational therapist made him a new splint for his right hand. After his morning wound care, the respiratory therapist placed him on the respirator for a few hours to give him a little rest. He was sleeping a lot today, which his little body needs. We just want to hold him and give him a big hug. The physical therapists did not work with Clay today because of his surgery yesterday. They also knew that he did not feel well. Little Kermit walked past Clay's room today. Clay lifted his hand and waved to Kermit. Kermit waved back and gave Clay a thumbs up. It was so cute. It is so touching to see these two interacting as best they can. Maybe the antibiotic will help Clay feel better by tomorrow. We hope he has a restful night. A few verses from our Wednesday night bible study have touched our hearts (Exodus 14:13,14). Our heartfelt thanks goes out to each one of you. Good night.

  1. I'm sorry Clay so not feeling up to what he has been. I myself am recovering and using antibiotics. Kermit and Clay are developing quite the little friendship.. This will help both of them get better sooner. Fire in your hospital is very scary. I am relieved that they were able to get it contained quickly. I will continue to pray for healing for little Clay and Kermit.

  5. I knew there was a reason for extra needed prayer today. So sorry! This verse seemed to help us quite a bit when times were tough, hope it helps you too!
Philippians 4:6&7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I will be praying for a super great day tomorrow! Hopefully tomorrow will be Clay's day to give Kermit the thumb's up! Love you! Missy and family

  6. We are sorry Clay was not feeling well on Wednesday. Hopefully the antibiotic and the rest will do the job and he'll be feeling much better today (Thursday). It is so easy to picture Kermit walking by Clay's room and that little wave they would give each other. It is an amazing bond that has been made. Love and prayers for a good day go your way, Dawn & Pam
