Saturday, April 18th

I hope everyone had a good day. Clay was on the breathing machine and was under the paralytic drip all day. This means he can not move a muscle. The nurses say that he can hear us but I am sure he is frightened. Dr. Arnoldo wants to insure that there is no movement on the sheet grafts on his face. We made every visit and tried to reassure him that he was doing great and that he was getting better through all his rest. We had some nice visitors today and an evening meal provided at the hospital. Thank you to everyone. Wishing all a good Sunday

  1. You dear folks are going thru so much...and our little Clay. Just know our thoughts and hearts go your way daily. and wish we could lift the burden. But we know there is One who is walking beside you and helping you bear the load. Our love, Raymond and Linda Block (Susie's parents)

  3. I am sure he is frightened. Poor little guy, I am sure for a 5 year old he is saying his share of prayers. This may be something you could tell him, if you haven't already, that even when he can't talk to you, he can talk to Jesus! Just a thought. I will be praying that tomorrow is a better day, I know it must be hard on you having to see him like that. Keep your chins up and know you aren't alone! I will be praying, as I always do! Loving you through prayer!! Missy

  4. You dear people. I don't know how you have the energy or strength to update his progress each and every day, but I know we sure do appreciate it and our thoughts and prayers are with y'all every day. Know it isn't easy for any of you, hang in there and strength will come. Our love and prayers, Ralph and Sharon

  5. From California: Thank you for updating even the things that are the hardest. Like the others....my mother's heart is there with you! I feel sad tonight because I feel so bad for our little 5-year-old "Fiter" who is going through so much! And for all his family who is suffering right along with him!

Love, prayers, and hugs and hugs!

  7. You are all so amazing! We never forget to pray for Clay.... May you continue to live by faith, embrace the challenges of the day...His Word says that what we "see" is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.... Eventhough the battle is long, remember it is temporary and the unseen is with you through every moment... God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you, and through Jesus you can do ALL things... as pastors we have had the great priviledge of seeing God at work in so many different ways, doing what only He can do... There is power in prayer!! We pray with you, believing for healing in Clay's body... knowing that God will be there every step of the way!! Thank you for your powerful testimony of faith each day! Your perseverance, love, and courageous attitude are such a blessing!!! love the Cochrans from Anson

  9. Hello all:
What a hardship on all of you, but that is probably the only way there is to make sure the grafts are not rubbed of irratated even if unintentional. What great stride the medical field has made in the treatments of burn.

Prayers are being uplifted for Clay and his family.

    "This too shall pass"

Hoping the happier days are soon to come!

  10. Thinking of you all so much - feel words can't express our hearts. We're glad Carson and Cody got to come spend time with him - and the promise of a puppy for him when he gets home - wow! :) Our hearts ache as we think how much those three boys just want to be together, at home. They are having to be very patient with the whole process of recovery, but every day that day of being home is a little nearer. What a day that will be for you five...to all be under on roof together again. We hope today was a good day for Clay and good for your hearts as you went to meeting. Thinking of you ever so often. Love, Morgan, Michelle, Shane, Ivey, and Sadie

  11. We are so glad that this surgery went according to plan. It sounds as if things are progressing in the right direction. We keep praying and thinking of Clay everyday. What a "fiter" he really is. I work with a resp therapist that use to work at Parkland and she says those docs are really great at what they do. We will pray for them as well, as God's guidance is needed everywhere. Please know we are all behind you praying and thinking of you all often. Take care and rest when you can and be strong and never lose the FAITH that GOD controls all things, even if we don't always understand the reasoning. Emma would like you to tell Clay that she says HI. Take care and have a good day.
